1. Who We Are

Zoomtu is a customer app for discovering nearby shops, products, bundles, offers, and pickup options in Pakistan. This Privacy Policy applies to the Zoomtu Customer Android app and the customer pages on zoomtu.com.

This page is for customer users only.

2. Data We Collect

• Google account details: name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile photo when you sign in with Google.
• Profile details: customer name, email, profile photo, preferences, and account status.
• Location: selected or detected city/coordinates used to show nearby shops and products.
• Shopping activity: saved products, followed shops, recent searches, recently viewed items, reservations, offers, reviews, ratings, and messages with shops.
• Notifications: device push token and notification history needed to send customer updates.
• Technical data: app version, device type, crash logs, and security/request logs needed to keep the app working safely.

3. How We Use Data

• To create and authenticate your customer account.
• To show nearby shops, products, bundles, offers, and search results.
• To save your wishlist, followed shops, recent searches, and recently viewed items.
• To let you message shops, make offers, create reservations, and receive replies.
• To send push and in-app notifications about customer interactions.
• To provide support, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and improve Zoomtu.
• To comply with legal, safety, and security requirements.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

We share data only when needed to run Zoomtu, provide requested features, or comply with law.

• Shops: receive the customer messages, offers, reservations, reviews, and pickup details needed to respond to you.
• Google Sign-In: used to authenticate your customer account.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: used to send push notifications.
• Maps/location services: used to show nearby results and maps where available.
• Legal/safety requests: data may be shared if required by law or necessary to protect users, shops, or Zoomtu.

5. App Permissions

• Location: optional, used only while you are using the app to show nearby shops and products. We do not track your location in the background. You can deny or disable it in Android settings.
• Notifications: optional, used for replies, offers, reservations, and account updates.
• Camera: used to scan shop and product QR codes, and when you choose to take a profile or review photo. QR camera frames are processed on your device and are not stored or uploaded.
• Photos/media: requested only when you choose to upload a profile photo, review photo, or support attachment from your gallery.
• Internet: required for app features, search, messages, reservations, and notifications.

6. Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect customer data. Access tokens are stored using secure device storage where supported.

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including account operation, support, security, legal compliance, and dispute handling. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

7. Your Choices and Deletion

• You can update your profile in the app.
• You can change app permissions in Android settings.
• You can sign out at any time.
• You can delete your customer account in the app or by using our Account and Data Deletion page.

Account deletion removes eligible customer account data within 30 days, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, and backup retention requirements explained on the deletion page.

8. Children

Zoomtu is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our app, legal requirements, or data practices change. The latest version will always be available on this page with the updated date shown above.
